Troop 5113 is a place where adventure, leadership, and friendship come together. We help young people grow into confident, capable leaders through hands-on experiences, outdoor challenges, and community service. Whether you’re brand new to Scouting or continuing your journey, Troop 5113 has a place for you.
From weekend campouts to full week-long summer camps, our Scouts learn outdoor skills, teamwork, and resilience. Activities include:
Camping Trips — Learn essential outdoor skills, cook with your patrol, and explore nature.
Hiking & Backpacking — Build endurance and confidence on local trails and longer treks.
Survival Skills — Fire building, navigation, first aid, and more.
Scouting is built on youth-led leadership. Troop 5113 encourages Scouts to take charge through:
Patrol Leadership Roles — Patrol Leader, Assistant Patrol Leader, Quartermaster, and more.
Troop-wide Positions — Senior Patrol Leader, Scribe, Historian, Chaplain Aide, etc.
Leadership Training — Opportunities like NYLT and hands-on mentoring.
Scouts progress at their own pace through the ranks, learning skills and earning merit badges along the way:
Rank Requirements — From Scout to Eagle.
Merit Badges — Over 135 topics to explore, from First Aid to Robotics.
Service Projects — Give back to the community while building leadership skills.
Troop 5113 is active in the community through:
Local Service Events — Food drives, park cleanups, flag ceremonies.
