Troop 5113 will attend Massawepie on week 5, July 28th - August 3rd. The early bird pricing is $575 and is due by April 19. After that, the price continues to go up. If you would like to apply for a campership, a camp scholarship, those applications are due by March 1st. To apply go to senecawaterways.org/camperships.
All those attending summer camp, youth and adults, need to complete health forms A,B1,B2, C, and provide copies of the front and back of your health insurance cards. The kids will also need to fill out the medication authorization form. Form C and the medication form require a doctor's signature. So, if your doctor takes a long time to book physicals, you may want to get an appointment on the books so you are not trying to complete the forms at the last minute. Anyone with dietary restrictions is also asked to fill out a food accommodations form. I have attached copies of all those forms to this email for your convenience.
Important Summer Camp Dates:
2/28 - Camp registration opens and RSVP in Scoutbook
3/1 - Campership forms due
3/15 - $100 nonrefundable deposit due
4/19 - Remainder of early bird pricing due
This is the packing list the entire troop is using.
Thank you Mr. Gerhardt for the packing list!
1. If you do not like bugs you may want to consider grabbing one of these bug nets that sit over the cots in the A-Frames: Mosquito Oasis or from Amazon there is a similar product:
2. Troop 5113 usually takes the trailer with us, each boy packs their belongings into a standard plastic/Rubbermaid tote which. So now if a good time to grab one of these.
This is a message from Mr. McGuinness
------------------------------------
Hey All,
John went through logistics earlier this week as far as seating goes and it looks like we're all set and will have plenty of space going up and coming back down for all scouts.
Plan is for us to muster on Sunday 7/30 at 8:00AM at the Wayne High School in the same parking lot we met last year (North Side).
All Adults Drivers and Scouts should be wearing their Class A's. Totes and Sleeping Gear will be loaded into the trailer. Scouts will want to keep their wallets/cash or lunch with them as they are loading into the cars. They will also want to pack their towel, bathing suit, goggles, Sunscreen etc.. (scouts may even want to wear their bathing suit) with them as we will be heading to Swim Test as soon as we arrive. Please don't put this in your totes as we may not be able to fully unload right away.
We will be stopping mid way for Lunch so scouts will want to bring some money for lunch or bring a packed lunch. We'll take the usual route (104 > Route 3) so stop will most likely be in Watertown, we usually stop at a Gas Station with some tables so we can gas up and scouts can eat.
Just a reminder for Scouts to bring some cash for the trading post. Additionally if you have any of these merit badges please bring cash for the kit:
Basketry, Leatherwork, Space Exploration, Woodcarving, Animation, Additional Costs: These merit badges require a project kit to be purchased at the Trading Post. Kits range in price, and some badges have several kit options that are priced differently. Basketry $8-12, Leatherwork $9, Space Exploration $12-20, Woodcarving $4, Animation $2-3,
We'll assign out seats when we arrive in case there are any last minute changes.
Let me know if any questions or concerns.
Cheers,
----------
